Country Stand
🇲🇳 Mongolia
Who we are
Since 2017, we've been proud to represent Mongolia at the Bazar International, one of over 60 stands coming together for this unique celebration of cultures and giving. Our stand is run entirely by volunteers: a small group of Mongolians living and working in Luxembourg, who come together each year, giving their evenings and weekends to bring a piece of home to Luxembourg. Like every stand here, ours is a labour of love: sourcing products, setting up, and welcoming visitors, all to share our culture and help support the humanitarian causes the Bazar makes possible, and to bring our own small community here in Luxembourg together in the process.
Mongolian cashmere
That piece of home is, above all, cashmere. It reflects a bond between Mongolia's herders, their animals, and the land, a tradition shaped over centuries of nomadic life on the steppe. Today, it's one of Mongolia's most valued exports, a vital source of livelihood for herding families and a source of pride for the country.
Mongolia's herders raise their goats through winters that regularly drop below -30°C. To survive, the goats grow an undercoat of exceptionally long, fine fibers, the raw material prized worldwide as premium cashmere. The result is a fabric that's remarkably light, yet warm and soft.
Every item at our stand is made in Mongolia and brought here for the Bazar. Our range includes scarves and shawls, jumpers and cardigans, hats, gloves, and socks, in a variety of colors and weights, from everyday layers to statement pieces.
A gift with meaning
We source our cashmere products from a mix of established Mongolian brands, chosen for their quality. Proceeds from our stand go toward the humanitarian projects selected each year by Bazar International.
We warmly welcome you to visit us at the Bazar and take home a piece of Mongolia this holiday season.
